Poor quality of mattress
We purchased a king and a queen sorthopedic set at the same time. We spent lots of time in the store testing the many mattresses before purchasing.
The delivery people damaged the king mattress because they folded it in half the wrong way to carry it up the stairs. We contacted the company and a representative came and agreed that the mattress was damaged and that it would be repaired. One year after the repair the mattress has obvious valleys in it. We contacted the company and a different representative came and measured the top of the mattress and said that the valleys were body depressions and to rotate and flip the mattress.
So we did. The mattress still has valleys in it and when you sleep on it your body rolls into the valley and your back and hips pull out of alignment resulting in chiropractor visits. We contacted the company again and can not get someone to respond. The queen mattress has also developed a valley in it and whoever sleeps on it wakes up with a backache.
The mattresses do not last after a year's use and customer service to resolve issues is not satisfactory. They are not the company that they used to.D

Buyer Beware! - Dissappointing Mattress - Worse customer service
There are lots of good options for a quality mattress with good customer service and support.
Unfortunately I found out the hard (expensive) way that the Original Mattress company is not one of them. My frustrating experience with them has had the feel more akin to buying a used car, rather than quality bedding. Based on my recent experience I would strongly recommend that someone looking for a quality bed/mattress as well as professional customer engagement/service/support look elsewhere.
After testing a number of mattresses on display at the Clearwater location, I selected a comfortable mattress /box springs/frame set for $1,600. The mattress selected was not in stock, so delivery was scheduled for the following week.
When the bed was delivered it was immediately clear that this knew was not the same mattress I had selected.
The bed had the feel of laying on a hard floor - Laying on the bed for any period if time caused physical back pain. After trying and failing to sleep for three miserable nights, I returned to the store explaining the matress delivered was not the same mattress that I selected in the store - and was told as I had taken delivery there was nothing they could do - unless of course I wanted to buy another mattress for "only" a 25% fee (again this was three days after it was delivered and had not been slept in!).
After restating that the mattress delivered was not the one I ordered, the below is a list of the "customer service" provided to date:
a. I was initally told that I should give 30 days to get used to the bed and "the pain would likely go away"
b. After being persistent that the bed delivered was not the bed I tested - a manager scheduled a visit to my house to "inspect" the mattress." This "inspection" consisted of the manager showing up with two yardsticks, taking 30 seconds to "measure" the mattress, before informing me that based on his opinion the mattress was just fine.
c.
Even though neither my or my wife had been able to sleep a full night on this bed - and trying to do so resulted in painful backaches - I was again advised that I needed to give this uncomfortable bed a few more night "to let your body get used to the new bed."
d. The manager then pulled out a piece of 1" foam padding out of his vehilce and suggest I put the foam padding on top of the new mattress - To be clear the manager of the store is sugggesting that I need to attach (tape?) a piece of 1 inch foam to my new $1,600 mattress in order to make it functional!
- I again returned to the store to At this point I again returned to the store again returned to the store When returning to the store to again complain that the bed delivered was not the bed I had ordered - I was told (with a straight face) - I was mistaken and that customer comfort is subjective - I was then told that I probably seleced the wrong mattress because I didn't take my shoes off when initially laying on the mattresses in the stores; and the best of all: - I may have selected the wrong mattress because I was wearing jeans when testing the mattresses in the store - whereas no one sleeps in jeans at night.
At this point I'm stuck with a bed from this company that I will never use, and the only resolution offered is for me to give them more money (25% fee plus the difference of the cost of another mattress -about $840). The whole situation has the feel of a bait and switch/nickel and dime hustle.
Just about every other mattress manufactured stands behind their product and offeres much better customer service and customer experience.
Three weeks after spending $1,600 at this company, I'm back shopping for a new mattress set - but it will not be from the Original Mattress Company. Suggest you strongly consider the importance of customer service and support as well before considering this company.

This mattress looks like it is 20 years old. The store does not back up the mattress.
They sent us a piece of foam and told us to flip the mattress every 3 months. After reading the reviews on the internet, I have found out that we are not the only people having this problem. I would not buy their product.
I could not give this company any stars, except they need to start listening to their customers and make a better product. They are not the company they once were.

Uncomfortable matterss

We have Orthopedic EuroTop Set(King) that was purchased 12-19-17 as Christmas gift.We have spent the last year trying to get the Original Mattress Factory to work we us because of constant back problems.They have removed the mattress and kept in for a week(asked if we wanted to pick it up)and was told something was missing inside the mattress when delivered back to us.The very next day Matt called to ask how the mattress was doing?You think he would have waited a tad bit longer!Again constant back problems so I called back and of course Matt called left a message saying he was wanting to talk but the problem is they DO NOT HONOR their warranty.They tell you they will replace the mattress for 25% more on a new one!!!!! After spending $1,777.39 they still wanted 25% more.Am I pissed???You damn cookie I am! I sleep on a 20 year mattress rather then the Eurotop to relieve my back pain.Honor your warranty OMF!!!

Bought top of the line mattress. Ruts in less than 30 days.
I am a middle-class person, so $1500+ for a mattress and box springs was a lot of money for me, a major purchase. I bought the top-of-the-line mattress and box springs in a queen size.
My husband and I are normal-weight people, and we stated our weight to the salesperson in case that would impact which mattress we should consider. Within 30 days of deliver there were two sunken areas on the mattress where we sleep and a raised area at the sides and middle. When we make the bed it looks terrible, like we have an old, worn-out mattress under the linens.
We bought the mattress and box springs because our old set was too firm and causing us hip pain. Guess what? After 2-3 weeks of blissful comfort on the new set, we are now back to almost the same level of discomfort both while in the bed and when we get up.
The return policy is tough luck. Your only recourse is to exchange the mattress and box springs for another model (plus some charge). Since we blindly trusted that their products were quality products and bought the top-of-the-line set, where does that leave us? Trying a cheaper model?
Any mattress with two sunken areas after less than 30 days of use is a piece of junk. Don't be fooled by their folksy, earnest commercials. Spend your hard-earned money on a known name-brand mattress and box springs.

You guys need to do your research better the original mattress factory has no stores outside of the USA and the mattress firm vs original mattress factory is very inaccurate on both companies... I love it this author has no clue what she is talking about terrible research on both companies...
