I unfortunately purchased a mattress set from this company, never again. Withing 4 months, the mattresses had sunk 4 inches.

When I called to bring them back, I was told it was my fault. I asked how they figured that? I was told by the salesperson, that he observed my weight ( 190 lbs ) would cause the bed to sink after awhile. I couldn't believe what I was hearing.

I did return the mattresses, Never to return. If you buy from this outfit, good luck to you. You better be from Bangladesh, weight about a buck and a quarter, and never call for service. You'll be humiliated on the phone, and in person, just like I was.

I'd sleep in a Sears Refrigerator box, before I'd spend a dollar with those crooks. You've been warmed

You are so full of *** , or totally brain-dead.

First, there isn't an OMF location within 1000 miles of Las Vegas.

Second, you said OMF allowed you to return the mattress, which if you have read any of the past reviews here on this lame site, you will have noticed that OMF does not take back mattresses, even for tubby, 190lb guys from Bangladesh! LOL

I bet you are sleeping in a refridgerator box!

I am calling B.S. on you!

THE LATEX MATTRESS WE BOUGHT FROM OMF IS SO HARD AND SHOWS WEAR AFTER JUST 3 WEEKS - WHAT A RIP OFF - VERY HIGH PRICE AND VERY POOR QUALITY - BUYER BEWARE - NO RETURNS - THEY WANT YOU TO PURCHASE ANOTHER ONE AFTER YOU PAY 25% RESTOCK PLUS FEES AND SHIPPING FEES AGAIN - WHAT A SCAM - THIS A WIN WIN SITUATION FOR THEM - WHO IN THERE RIGHT MIND WOULD BUY ANOTHER MATTRESS FROM THEM AFTER GETTING SUCH POOR QUALITY THE FIRST TIME

Select Comfort. The Sleep Number Bed.

Pooof! All your complaints about beds are thrown out the bedroom door.

Is "Pooof" a good thing, or bad?

Trust your gut feeling.

If the salesman makes you feel uncomfortable, don't buy there. There are lots of places selling mattresses. There's no need for a hard sell.

I have the stones to admit I am an Original Mattress Factory employee. This entry is either a baltant lie made by a competitor or this guy is confused with who he bought from.

A if you have a 4 inch impression in you mattress that IS covered by our warranty, which is no different than warranties from all the big brands. So OMF would have sent someone out to inspect the mattress and then made arrangements to replace it if you had an impression of an inch and a half or more (the industry standard).

If the impression was less than 1 1/2 inches and not a warranty issue you could still have taken advantage of the year long comfort policy that would allow you to have that mattress replaced with a different model for any difference in price if you went more expensive and 25% of the Mattress only price.

Chances are if your bed is in fact sinking 4" you don't have proper center support which is required by every manufactures warranty on queen and King beds. You would have been told about this to make sure you have it at the point of sale.

Did you buy the set or try to save some money by not buying the mated box spring? If so the old box spring was probably your issue.

You said you took it back? We don't except returns, we have the aforementioned comfort policy for that. If we did give you your money back what are you complaining about?

The fact is OMF was rated the #1 retailer of bedding by Consumer Reports for a reason, we go out of our way to be fair and explain all our policies before the purchase is made or right at the point of sale. If you listened you would have known all of these fair options. They are also printed on your invoice, and in your warranty card.

We strive to satisfy our customers and seek to do what is fair. This entire entry is a joke because it is obvious this person did not look into or ask about or listen to our policies. This situation was easily remedied but this consumer obviously did not like our policies yet still purchased the mattress after these were explained to him. It would be nice if the customer was always right but the fact is there is some responsibility on the consumers part as well.

Anyone reading this should come shop us, you will quickly realize most of these complaints on this site are being made by unreasonable consumers who don't like policies that were fully explained before they signed the receipt.

Our policies are as fair or fairer than anyone in the industry. Consumer Reports #1 retailer of mattresses and box springs for consumer satisfaction. Oct 2009 issue.

If you live in a town where Original Mattress Factory does business, I would encourage you to ask your neighbors about the company. You will get better information than you will on a site dedicated only to "pissed consumers."

If you search other Mattress retailers here you will find similar complaints. "Uncomfortable", "wouldn't take it back," "body impressions or sagging.

Check out the other retailers you'll see similar policies through out this indusrty. Mattresses sag, thats why EVERY manufacture sets a standard of 1 1/2" before they are covered by the warranty. Comfort is a personal preferrence like food, people like different things. So companies offer a return or replacement policy. There is generally a charge or fee for it because the beds cant be resold or they have to be marked second hand and sold at a steep discount. Hence the store loses money when it takes back mattresses because a customer wasn't comfortable. If you had ten people in a room they would all likely have different preferences in firmness etc. Therefore comfort is not a defect its a personal choice made by the consumer. Does Lowes refund your money because you don't like the color paint you've chosen after you have used half the can?? You chose the color not Lowes.

Companies don't just take back mattresses because they lose money everytime they do. DO some research on BEd Bugs and youll be glad when you find a store that doesn't sell used bedding.

So you're posting a complaint because of a salesperson whom you found to be too pushy for your liking? Talk about cynical!

Actually, with just 9 complaints (not counting yours) posted on here I think speaks a good track record for this company.

I've decided to give them my business because I've heard a lot more good reviews than bad.

:? :?

I can't do anything but agree with the 8 complaints I read just now. I stopped at the factory at 36 @ 61 in Maplewood, MN to look around.

I felt pressured from the moment I walked it, which doesn't work well with me. I immediately went into defensive mode. I asked the salesperson about the complaints I had read online, and I was told that they were from people who shouldn't have ever been their customers. The person implied that all of the complainers were scofflaws in the area, and nothing good could be expected from any of them.

I could see my question hit a nerve with this staffer. I informed them that I wouldn't be buying anything from them, now, or in the future with that attitude. Menard's Hardware store is selling Sealy mattresses, and they have a return policy I can live with in the event of trouble.

So as far as this outfit goes, they'll never get any of my hard earned cash. I won't buy from anyone who considers me a scofflaw.

scofflaw - a person who flouts the law, especially by failing to comply with a law that is difficult to enforce effectively. stop trying to apply big words you don't understand.
